emblematic places!

Bolívar square:
it is located in the heart of the historical area of bogota. It has a statue of Simon Bolivar sculpted in 1846, which was the first ever public monument in the city. Plaza Bolívar is also the name given to the main square in every city or town of venezuela, the native country of Simón Bolívar. In the bolívar square we can find la casa del florero, el palacio de justicia, el congreso, la catedral de bogota, san bartolome school, etc. 


la casa del florero:
 is also called as museo del 20 de julio, this house is very important fro Colombia because there they made the cry of Independence.


Palacio de justicia:
The justice palace in Colombia is a building located in the Plaza de Bolivar in Bogota , seat and symbol of the judiciary in Colombia.
The building was destroyed by fire during the riots of April 9, 1948 known as the Bogotazo after the murder of Jorge Gaitan by the M19. The M19 maintained about 350 rehenes among the judges, state counciliors,court offices, employees and visitors of the justice palace.



La Iglesia de las Nieves:
The Church of Las Nieves is a religious temple of Catholic cult under the invocation of the Virgin of Our Lady of the Snows. It has undergone several reconstructions and reforms , and its original building one of the primers churches in the city. it was consecrated on march 23 of 1587 and on december the 22 of 1594 it got in flames but it get reconstructed. The earthequake of 1917 affected the structure and on 1922 it was demolished but reconstructed at the same time for the current one.



La Candelaria:
is a traditional place in bogota because in that locality there are all historical places. La Candelaria is not only the historical center of Bogotá, over the years it has also become an important commercial and business center for the city as it offers markets and opportunities for all city residents regardless of their social origin.


La Quinta de Bolívar:
La Quinta de Bolivar is a house -museum of colonial located in the town of La Candelaria , which in addition to its architectural interest is relevant from a historical point of view as the residence of Simon Bolivar in Bogota , the capital the New Kingdom of Granada , and after independence, the Gran Colombia.

Monserrate:
on 1620 Monserrate construction. Monserrate is one of the most recognizable formations of  sabana de bogota.



chorro de quevedo: 
The plaza del Chorro de Quevedo is a public place in Bogotá. Here he established his garrison Gonzalo Jiménez de Quesada , before founding the city in the current Plaza de Bolivar in 1538. In 1832 the site was purchased by the Augustinian Father Quevedo, who installed a public water source. The jet was maintained until 1896, when a wall collapsed destroyed the source and some of the surrounding buildings. In 1969 the square was reconstructed based on some images and old models and a sink installed.
